Challenges
The anticipated turnover date of June 30th, 2020 (as referenced in the pre-bid conference), the overall schedule is ambitious, and completing the fit-out of the new addition within the allotted timeframe was the most challenging aspect of the project

Cooperation between the owner, the design team, and SBI was critical to this approach, as all parties must be willing to work together to meet the two-pronged goal of staying within budget and on schedule.
Scope of Work Included
- 62,000 SF Warehouse Renovation
- New vehicle exhaust system, new HVAC fans, air curtains at overhead doors, ductless split systems for cooling, sprinkler upgrades and new high-bay light fixtures.
- 30,000 SF North and East Addition
- Two stairwells and a 3,500-lb hydraulic elevator to serve the 2nd level of the addition
- 1st level will primarily house gas and electric training labs; 1-part epoxy floors, dry fall paint on the exposed deck, 4’-0” plywood wainscot on all walls
- Site and Parking Reconfiguration
- Concrete pad and canopy for reel storage
- Gas and Electric Training Yard
- Power and natural gas will be brought out to the site from Westec Drive
